LG Asked;here's the answer

i haven't been back here in quite awhile.Didn't duck out.Just got busy.

So she wanted to know what rude comments we had heard here re Christians and/or Christianity.
Ok. From the start:
The implication,if not outright statements, that were stupid, illogical, brainwashed, don't think for ourselves, lack intelligence.
That's just a start.

Next came the polls:
56% of Christians are frauds.According to LG's calculations this could possibly be higher.

DIRECT QUOTES: • Only 44% of self-described Christians believe that God wants them to help the poor and suffering, and

• only 67% find hope from faith in Jesus Christ during a crisis.
So the conclusion here was:
"so I would have to say that the 56% of self-described Christians who don't follow this example are frauds. Christians are also supposed to have faith that Jesus will help them in their times of need, so I would have to say that the 33% of those who don't have this faith are also frauds."

Further:
"The question remains, are the 33% of the faithless also part of the 56% of the selfish? If so, then 56% of those who describe themselves as Christians are frauds. If the 33% who are faithless try to help the needy, and the 56% who are selfish have faith that Jesus (or someone/something) will see them through tough times, then an overwhelming 93% of self-proclaimed Christians are frauds. Since one isn't necessarily indicative of the other, then one can only deduce by this poll that the percentage of falsely self-described Christians is somewhere between 56% and 89%, and only 11% to 44% are true Christians. "{

Next;the direct statements:

Other Direct Statements from Illusia:

1. The problem with Christianity was, it never started out as a faith, it started out as a political movement, the Jesus being the son of God was added by
Emperor Constantine....

2. Christianity contians the least amount of spirtuality among the other religions, it lacks any pillars of faith an Jesus himself stated he never came to challenge the old laws but to change the Pharasees handling of them....

3. Christian beliefs are simply just one "Jesus is the son of God and died for your sins", the problem most people have with that is Jesus happens to still be alive sitting next to God according to the same Bible that also states he is dead....

4. So are the beliefs hypocritical, if yes then all the believers would naturally have to be hypocritical, thats how faith kind of works, like negative vibes bring negativity.....

5. The whole judgment day thing is pretty contradictory, too. Are we supposed to stand in front of God to be judged? Or is Jesus supposed to judge us? Will the sinners be taken first, like weeds being thrown out of the garden and burned? Or will the "saved" be taken to Heaven and the sinners left here to suffer in Hell on Earth? The Bible just can't seem to make up its mind on the subject.

The words schizophrenic and hypocrites has been used in connection with either Christ or Christianity a number of times.
But the topper was this;
LG said we make her want to barf.
In the end when we decided we didin't want to be doormats any longer we were told WE were rude.
I don't recall our saying any of these things.
GB!~

Links would be nice, so people can know the context, as well as to provide evidence for your claims. It would also be nice to tell the folks reading this how you keep avoiding direct questions and repeating the same claims over and over, without supplying actual evidence or logical reasoning for the claims you keep making.

I didn't read your whole post, and here is why...

DIRECT QUOTES: • Only 44% of self-described Christians believe that God wants them to help the poor and suffering, and

• only 67% find hope from faith in Jesus Christ during a crisis.

I don't remember these statistics specifically, but it's obvious even out of context that they were obtained from a poll.

It would be frivilous to do a point-by-point here (and more than likely a waste of time reading the rest of your post, based on the above quote), and I think that point alone says enough. If you think posting statistics is rude, and if you take offense to that, then there is nothing I can do but feel sorry for you.

P4P spouted this nonsense...

In the end when we decided we didin't want to be doormats any longer we were told WE were rude.

The fact is, you've come here many times and you've made false statements about people who have other beliefs than you do, in order to try and put them in a bad light. That makes you rude, to say the least. If you don't want a confrontation, then you shouldn't start one.

Re: LG Asked;here's the answer

I have never known you to be rude, Pastor Rick, and have only known you to be quite respectful and pleasant. emoticon  And although I don't share the belief that your board is founded on (God), it is always a pleasure helping you learn the technical side of things and seeing you use that knowledge to do things on your own. emoticon

I apologize if any of my criticisms here have affected you negatively, but that is not my intent, and none of my criticisms have had anything to do with you personally.  I'm sure you understand how powerful religious and/or spiritual belief can be, and any animosity I have towards organized religion is due to the problems it has caused by people who use religion as a very powerful tool for their own personal agendas.  I am also disheartened by people who blindly follow what they are told without using their own logic and moral compass to "confirm" what they are taught, but you don't appear to fit into that category.

Although my only contact with you has been related to code and search engines, etc., you do appear to be quite logical, based on how you are able to rewrite code, rather than merely copying and pasting what you're given (when some people can't even copy and paste correctly).  And although I don't know your personal views on a lot of things, you strike me as a moral person, because you never forget to express your gratitude, and I've seen you helping others in the Support forums whenever you can.

Thank you for voicing your concern, and I hope this clears things up. emoticon
