Anything Goes Makeover

Thought I'd show you how clever you've made me Lesa.
Petal gave me the design she wanted and look a the result.

And a big thank you to Skokey, he fixed the background to make it seamless. It looks lovely.

And you'll be so proud of me, I couldn't get the header to fit without overlapping all the other stuff on the page and then I tried different sizes until it all worked.

This is such fun. But all the board look great now. Dunno what I'll do next

Thank you to both of you for helping me learn all this lovely stuff.

Re: Anything Goes Makeover

Thank you now one small little tweaking on another of my problems then I'm truly going to enjoy my little vacation this week,

Fantasy Island - the sidebar and the main forum box are too far apart, where do I close the gap, and the tops of the two boxes don't line up on every page, where have I made a mistake with that, please point me in the right direction, Thank you. /bfantasyisland2.

I looked at it last night but I'm looking around the problem I just can't see where I've gone wrong with those.

Thanks very much Lesa, if you can take a look for me please.

The gap is the easy part. That's in your Layout/Colors, under:

Forum list master table width
Forum list table width
Topic list master table width
Topic list table width

The top alignment isn't quite so cut and dry in this case. On your other boards, you have the sidebar aligned with the top of the master table, but at Fantasy Island, you're trying to align it with the forum table. Since premium users don't see the Google ad banner at the top but non-premium users do, it will always be out of alignment for someone when you try to align it with the top of the forum list... That is, unless you make it a premium board and get rid of the ads for everyone.

It's too bad there's no way to put an HTML snippet after the ad, but I would never suggest that to Thor because people would be able to use it to hide the ads, and we wouldn't want that to happen.

Yes thank you that looks much better. Take a look at both that and Anything Goes. I added music lists to both of them. We did a tidy up of the forums on Anything Goes, spread some of the posts to the more appropriate boards.
All the boards look a lot more professional now. Thanks for all the help Lesa I really appreciate it.

Now to change the subject, have a look at the story Skokey posted about the GOP's VP nominee in the election board. Oooh! Terrible scandal. So silly I thought you'd enjoy a bit of a laugh about that.

Thanks again.

You're welcome, Mo. It all looks really good. emoticon

Thanks for the heads up about that article. It really shows how stupid the McCain camp is when they choose someone like her as his running mate. emoticon
