Help with possible design
Hi I was told very kindly by Lesa to go and ask for help here
I have a few designs which I don't have copies over while at work but do at home and I will add links here and wondering if I can be taught in making a new look?
I don't know anything about coding so please be gentle with me
Thank you

Re: Help with possible design
They are both pretty, how do you want to use them?
After months of messing about with background pictures and big graphics, I've come to the conclusion that a plain background is best. Look at the new makeover I've done on Anything Goes, it loads a lot faster now and doesn't chew up Petal's bandwidth.
Those would look quite nice as borders around the main title page, like the pillars on this one. Just an idea, let's see what Lesa and the others think.

Re: Help with possible design
There are two ideas for a start. Maybe someone else can come up with another idea. Once you know what you want to do and have the board you want to change, then you can start changing the code.

I like those images, as well as the ideas MO has for them.
What will be the main theme for the board, as far as content goes? It helps to keep this in mind when coming up with a layout.

Thanks Lesa, the first one really lends itself to a stand alone in the corner, type of graphic and the second one has lots of different shades of purple to play with.

Re: Help with possible design
The thing is, Sertab, you can't do any designing until you have a decision about what you want the board to look like.
The first thing is to open the board and then to change the basic set up in the design wizards. Then you use CSS to fine-tune the design, and HTML to place the actual content.
So until you have a board, an idea of what you want to do with it and how you want it to look, you can't do any actual designing.
