Re: Something odd about this board

When you open the frame in its own tab, can you see if the "social authentication" message has its own URL? If so, what's the URL?

No, there's no URL. The tab just says "social authentication" there's nothing in the address line. It's very strange. Probably just some code that's clashing with my OS.

I wish I knew what it could be.

Don't worry about it Lesa. I really think it's the code clashing with the computer's OS.

I hope the next Safari update will take care of it.

I'm about to do the latest OS update, which involves all the native Apple software. Let's see what happens next.

Re: Something odd about this board

Haven't done it yet. I have to arrange to get to a secure place with a fast connection to do it. My bandwidth and connection is too erratic. I can't waste precious bandwidth restarting the download because it dropped the signal. So I'm going to my ISP's office to do it there. It's a beautiful OS, so I'm quite excited about installing it on my Mac. Probably the last upgrade. I'll have to buy a new Mac when they bring out OS11.

I remember having that problem in Oz. I was trying to download something big and it was taking forever, then lost the connection. I ended up waiting until off-peak hours when there would be less congestion and to save my peak-time bandwidth, and luckily it worked that time.

Yes. I'm going to do that. I went to a local computer store this morning to ask if they could do it for me, or if I could use their internet to do the download myself. They want the computer overnight, and R600 ($57). Yes, like I'm about to leave my computer with all my personal data in the hands of strangers overnight while they mess around with it. So I'm going to buy the extra bandwidth, which will cost a third of that, then do each piece of the download separately, during the night, starting tonight.
