Re: The 10 Commandments Revised, by Cristina Rad Or she could use an ATR2100 microphone like I have, but that would mean having to hold the microphone up to her mouth.
Re: My nephew often uses one of these Zoom H4N mics. http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/h4n You can be at a distance and it focuses right in on your subject. Great results.
Re: The 10 Commandments Revised, by Cristina Rad I wondered what he uses, but I think the lapel mic I used for my blog intro video sounds adequate, too.
Re: This was recorded with the H4N while walking in the street. Zac aimed the mic, Jory aimed the camera and I shut the apartment door after Morgan walked out.
Re: In the house, the mic was not in the same room, either out in the hallway or outside so that must have affected it. There was a bit of reverb in the hallway - big open space with hard flat walls but still not as bad as using a camera mic. I think you've seen the video of my Aunts drinking whisky? That was also with the H4N. If you are in the same room, it sounds a lot better. He's done other outdoor music recording with the H4N and they sound great too.
lol- I didn't know if you would recognize me at the end there. I was supposed to quietly shut the outside door but it let go before I could get to it and it slammed shut. It's amazing that the mic didn't really get much of that and you heard some cars but not as bad as a less focused mic would have done.
