Needs Obamacare, but wants it dismantled

Republican politicians prey on the ignorant and paranoid. By referring to Barack Obama as 'Barry', I have no doubt the OP in this FB thread that went viral a couple of days ago believes Obama's real name is Barry Soetoro, which is a popular conspiracy "theory" among many Obama haters.

If I had to profile this person, I would say he believes our 44th President is a Muslim terrorist sympathizer from Kenya and his birth certificate from Hawaii is fake, just like Trump claimed it was. Of course, he voted for Trump, believes all that fake news about Hillary Clinton is true, and is still in denial about the fact that the Russians (led by former KGB agent Putin) tampered with our election with their hacking and faked email 'leaks'. I still can't get over the fact that the same people who were so paranoid about the Russians in the 80s are so supportive of someone who was one of their top operatives during the Cold War, but I digress. Let's get back to this dipshit who wants Obamacare dismantled, even though he relies on it.

Scroll down for the screenshots of the original thread on Facebook. For anyone with poor to no vision, I will type it out here, but I'll fix their typos so aural screen readers will (or should) pronounce things correctly.

OP: One step closer to fixing this mistake, and only a couple weeks left of Barry's regime. 2017 is already looking up.

Attached is an image of the senate floor, from live C-SPAN coverage, with the caption: "Senate votes 51 to 48 to Repeal Obamacare"

Red: Really cool of you to treat those of us who need the assistance provided by the ACA with such disregard. Really sells that whole underlying theme of republicans acting like vindictive !@#$ for every perceived "slight" at the hands of democrats these past eight years. It's a party that now openly celebrates the misfortune of others while simultaneously patting themselves on the back for making "progress."

OP: Jesus where to start? First, we're talking about Obamacare, not the ACA. Secondly, my health insurance is through the ACA, so I'm definitely not the kind of person to look down on others for needing help.

I'm just saying I'm glad this is finally happening because Obamacare was a failure from the start. Remember healthcare.gov?!! All of this was the brain child of liberals and they couldn't even get the site to run right, so why should any of us have had faith they could get socialized healthcare right? We didn't and they couldn't.

Again, it was a mistake that is finally being fixed.

Blue: Wait, (OP). If you're on Obamacare why the !@#$ are you celebrating the outcome of this vote? If the Republicans get what they want, you'll lose your insurance.

OP: I'm not on Obamacare. My health insurance is through the ACA (Affordable Care Act), which was what they had to come up with after Obamacare crashed and burned as bad as it did. So I'm gonna be fine.

Red: Holy !@#$...

Attached to Red's comment is a 3D cartoon character meme with the words, "You dense !@#$" on it. Red comments again...

Red: No, seriously, are you !@#$ kidding me? (in all caps) "They're the same !@#$ thing! (end all caps) Obamacare is just a stupid name for the ACA that Republicans came up with to make moronic voters like you automatically despise the idea of it just by hearing the name. And it !@#$ worked I guess. (comment ends with 6 laughing faces)

Blue: Jesus Christ, (OP). Seriously? All this time, and you never once checked for yourself to see what was up with the whole Obamacare controversy? Didn't once bother asking if relying solely on Glenn !@#$ Beck for your political commentary might not be the best use of all the resources you have at your disposal?

Red: You think he's going to respond?

Blue: LOL !@#$ no. Would you?

Red: Dude, I can't even believe he hasn't deleted this whole thing yet. I would have purged this the second I realized I accidentally admitted to all my friends just how easily swayed I am by things like confirmation bias.

!@#$ hell. This may be the best thing that happens all year, and we're only 5 days in.

Blue: haha no !@#$ right? (smiley face) I would have deleted my entire Facebook account by now.

It's made even better by just how smug he was coming across, as though he was the one who orchestrated the Senate vote, only to flat out crash and burn so badly by exposing his own ignorance.

It's such a waste of.time and resources... why not give up the repeal.fight and instead work to improve what's already in place?
Why? Because they are idiots with an agenda... :/

They don't want to admit that the man they've been trying to demonize for the last 8 years has done a lot of good for the people in this country, and would have done even more good if they hadn't been fighting against him all this time.

Ironically, Mitt Romney had implemented something similar in Massachusetts before Obama became president, despite Mitt being so out of touch with the average American who is struggling just to get by. I tend to think that the idea wasn't actually Romney's, but he had enough sense to listen to those who wanted it.
