Re: SOS - The GIMP did not un-install cleanly - print malfunctions

Pastor, thank you so much for your time & info! Meanwhile I had downloaded it to MyDownloadFiles, but did not yet get a chance to analyze it.

All I actually had wanted was one button, so I'll have to check it out & decide whether I want to spend alot of learning time (what w/my electrosensitivity.

Thanks again. emoticon

You are more than welcome emoticon Hey, if all you want is a button or two then why not do it online? CoolArchive is really easy and they give you over 20 different styles to play around with emoticon.

Yes, doing it online is a good option. There are many sites out there that let you choose a design and add your text, and the site generates the button for you.

Excellent idea, Pastor Rick. emoticon

Ah, thanks... By way of explanation, since a pic is worth 1000, here's a whited-out sample of what I'd wanted to edit.
All I'd wanted was a way to get rid of the extraneous junk surrounding the oval:

Thanks, but I already saw that and responded to it before I saw this post.

As for the image, you can easily crop that in Paint. Just hover on the bottom right corner until you see that double arrow, click and hold your mouse button, and drag it to where you want the lower right corner of the image to be. I'm pretty sure I told you that a couple of months ago, but we exchanged so many PMs back then that it might've gotten lost in your inbox.

I had tried it then & now & it didn't work.

Ah, just forget the button. It's not urgent.

Ok, try this instead.

Open it in Paint, or paste it into Paint, either way will work.

In the toolbar at the top, click on Image, then Attributes.

Type in 170 for the width and 75 for the height, then click on the OK button.

Save the file.

You now have the same image you posted above, but without the white.

But there's still the grey junk surrounding the oval.

Again, as I said before, it's not urgent.

I have other priority issues, so you're welcome to close this thread.

That problem is easy to fix as well. Just edit > select all, then drag the image up and to the left until the extra stuff at the top and left are gone. After that, you can crop the image using one of the two methods explained above, in order to get rid of the extra space on the right and bottom.
