While I'm sure plenty of people only use it to show off their talents, its focus is to encourage others to do all of their styling with CSS, through "showing off" the power of CSS. People can most certainly learn from it as well, through trial and error, and from people searching for ways to accomplish the layout they're trying to accomplish with CSS alone.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Sat, 16 Jun 2007 17:39:50 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p224015,from=rss#post224015https://billusia.runboard.com/p224015,from=rss#post224015LOL I read somewhere, dunno where, that some ppl think Zen Garden is a show off site rather than a good CSS learning site nondisclosed_email@example.com (The Mooseman)Sat, 16 Jun 2007 07:34:31 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p224003,from=rss#post224003https://billusia.runboard.com/p224003,from=rss#post224003Well, they probably know about the freezing up after 10 minutes, if nothing else, since two people have already mentioned it in this thread alone. And if the CSS issues are with things as common as hover effects, then they probably already know about that as well. I wonder if I should tell them to go over to CSS Zen Garden and see how their browser compares to FF with the different designs.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Fri, 15 Jun 2007 23:24:46 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223990,from=rss#post223990https://billusia.runboard.com/p223990,from=rss#post223990It doesnt work well with mouse-over/hover effects and text on background colors, eg in navbars. It also tends to close down after like 10 minutes of use, and nope, I havent given any feedback nondisclosed_email@example.com (The Mooseman)Fri, 15 Jun 2007 06:46:56 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223969,from=rss#post223969https://billusia.runboard.com/p223969,from=rss#post223969It definitely sounds like they need to fix it before taking the "beta" label off of it. I was going to download this sometime soon, but I'd rather not go through the time downloading it on dialup if there's a good chance it'll just freeze up or not work at all (thanks for the warning, Pastor Rick!) So Moose, which CSS isn't working on it that you've seen so far? Also, have you sent them any feedback to let them know?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Wed, 13 Jun 2007 23:03:18 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223961,from=rss#post223961https://billusia.runboard.com/p223961,from=rss#post223961Works ok here, but some CSS stuff isnt showing like it should :lol I guess they need to improve their beta version for windows before it gets popular nondisclosed_email@example.com (The Mooseman)Wed, 13 Jun 2007 07:05:30 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223956,from=rss#post223956https://billusia.runboard.com/p223956,from=rss#post223956Got it, installed it on my desk top and it wouldn't work on my machine... Friend of mine got it, installed it on his laptop and it froze after about 10 minutes. But it looked real cool while it was running...nondisclosed_email@example.com (Pastor Rick)Wed, 13 Jun 2007 02:16:32 +0000 Re: Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223941,from=rss#post223941https://billusia.runboard.com/p223941,from=rss#post223941Thanks for the info, Moose! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lesigner Girl)Tue, 12 Jun 2007 21:55:42 +0000 Get Safari Browser, window versionhttps://billusia.runboard.com/p223940,from=rss#post223940https://billusia.runboard.com/p223940,from=rss#post223940 Thought this might interest people, Apple have released a Windows version of its Safari browser.  It appears to be quite fast too. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6742439.stm http://www.apple.com/safari/nondisclosed_email@example.com (The Mooseman)Tue, 12 Jun 2007 17:07:53 +0000
