Re: Windows 7??
I became fed up with Vista's alpha group managers when they kept sending back error reports telling us the fault had to be with our computers because they could not duplicate the errors!!! What kind of story is that when the testing parameters extended down to P-III computer systems with 512k of memory? Then we started getting rebuilds file dated weeks before the build we were testing... totally messed up.

Re: Windows 7??
I have a Windows emulator on my Mac. I only use it to get onto smileys central. Yesterday, looking for some Oscar smileys, it started behaving very strangely, gave me peculiar stories about things that couldn't be done. Very strange. Eventually I just clicked on the smileys and dragged them to the Mac desktop, then they worked properly.
Very odd.

Re: Windows 7??
One of my sons installed it on the pc he uses for work. He then installed it on the PCs in his computer lab at school, all the kids in his classes are using it. Apparently it's very stable.

Re: Windows 7??
Linux is very stable indeed, and as of today, Ubuntu 8.04 seems to be the best version.
Only small problem with Linux is that some flash may not work properly with the newest version of adobe flash, but you can downgrade to an older version of flash.
And its free
I run Ubuntu through VMware on my laptop, and it works like a gem
