He won't have to go back to him..... emoticon
As for the rest. We'll just have to wait and see. The pain is still there, enough to still be on 3 pain meds and neuro-suppressants. And because of the first thing we tried before brain surgery....the "gamma knife treatment"...had not been tested for long. They said there was a possibility of brain cancer years down the road...in some people who may be susceptible.
So, who knows.....just gotta leave it out there in the Universe and go with the flow. ♥

I hope he'll be ok, and am glad he has a strong, supportive Mom like you to help him through it all. emoticon

Re: Atheist Census

I worried when I first found out what he had, and the doc said they called this the "Suicide Nerve", because it happens to older people mostly (70 plus and they can take pain meds and sleep), but when younger people get it, the pain drives almost 85% of them to commit suicide, because they can not cope with life. That was why I was NOT leaving Las Cruces, until I knew he had accepted what was ahead. But he's a tough kid.....typical boy, can't clean worth a crap, sprawls everywhere....butt-headed (wonder where that comes from emoticon ), but he has a good outlook on life. Rarely gets down....
So we keep chugging along! emoticon

And his Momma would not be so strong without her online friends like you who listen and make me laugh. You and several others have gotten me through a lot...more than you all know. THAT was why even though I closed Queeny's, I could never completely leave RB...it's my home, my support system, my sanity check (or insane asylum emoticon )....you all keep me together. emoticon

Nothing like hanging out in an insane asylum to help you realize how sane you are. emoticon

Nah, I think life throws things at all of us from time to time that make us feel like we've lost our minds, but we can help each other find them again. emoticon

I hope your son is feeling better these days. emoticon

I like our insane asylum....I know a lot of fun people there! emoticon

I believe "LIFE" is one giant test. If you pass, you end up where you personally believe you will end up. If you do not pass you, "LIFE" ends you. And in my case, I would start over as someone or something else.

Lucky for me, Chris is just arrogant enough to NEVER let this thing win, or he will die trying! emoticon

Kind of like me and my back.....just mowed the lawn. emoticon Sure wish I could find that Navy doctor who told me when I was 20 something, that I would be in a wheelchair by age 40...and I said, "Bullshit". emoticon

The doctor who made that prediction didn't know you very well, did he? emoticon

I'm sure a lot of people that your condition at 20 would have ended up in a wheelchair by 40. You probably would have been, too, if it weren't for your strong determination, high tolerance for pain, and the fact that you give it exercise on a regular basis. emoticon

Navy doctors never get to know you. When you have a problem, you go in and you get the next doctor in line who has no one. emoticon

And I get that from my Dad.......he SHOULD be in a wheel chair, but refuses, and as long as he can shuffle and not tumble down the hill (he did that once)....I won't say a word.
I think that strong determination is why the two of us butt heads so much! emoticon
Probably the same reason my son and I butt heads! emoticon
TOTALLY runs in the family... emoticon

It's all about picking our battles. emoticon It isn't always easy, but it's better than being stubborn all the time or a pacifist all the time. As long as we're right when we do choose to battle, of course. emoticon
